A clear parts enquiry reduces the chance of receiving an answer for the wrong tractor or assembly. Start with the machine’s identity and the part’s location. A close-up photograph by itself can hide the context needed to distinguish similar-looking components.
Identify the tractor first
Record the full model designation, drive type and version. Keep the unit identification available for the supplier through the appropriate private enquiry channel. If the part catalogue or old packaging shows a part number, copy it exactly and identify where it came from.
Do not assume that a number cast into a component is the orderable replacement reference. Ask the parts supplier to confirm the reference and any applicable replacement or superseding number.
Send photographs in a useful sequence
- A wider view showing the relevant assembly on the tractor.
- A closer view showing the component and its connections.
- A legible label or part marking, where one exists.

State exactly what the response should confirm
